Instructor:

Nathalee Lowrie My love for textiles began as a child, learning to love the textile arts from both of my grandmothers. Using a needle and thread fueled an instant love affair with color, the suppleness of fabric and the movement of a needle. I graduated with BS in Education/Art specialization degree from NorthTexas University. However, my career as an artist was birthed over a decade ago, out of my own need to re-establish a personal identity. My practice is based in my home studio and my works investigate textile designs through color, thread and texture.“Stitching gives me a space for my emotions to reside.” Currently I have trained at MISA (Madeline Island School of the Arts) studying under: Sue Spargo and Katie Pasquini Masopust. My pieces have been accepted into several juried shows and galleries. My larger pieces can be viewed in the gallery section at
