Traditional peasant Beetroot soup/stew. There are as many varieties of this particular dish as there are households in post Soviet countries, and of course I have my own recipe :) but the basics are the same.

We will cook  a vegetarian version which is satisfying and belly warming. Imagine that this was the only meal day, so it needed to be a good one!


Details:

  • Please bring 1-2 gallon tight sealing container to take your Borscht home.
  • To comply with WA State Health Department guidelines, please wear closed-toe shoes to class.

Instructor Bio:

Dashka Blyzniukova's passion for food started at an early age.  Growing up in Ukraine in the 80’s where farm to table was a necessity and not just a fashionable trend.  She has spent years working in various capacities in the food industry at home and abroad, learning and putting her knowledge to practical applications.  Currently, she is creating meals for Bainbridge families as a personal chef and working with fermenting gurus at Iggy’s.
