Pie baking is being revived. Learn the art and science behind a flaky crust, yummy filling, and feel confident you’ll be able to do this in your own kitchen. We’ll make a simple rustic pie crust, and fresh fruit filling. To create storage with artisan style, check out our pie box class, Pie for the People-Make a Pie Box.

Details:

  • Please bring a pie pan and apron.
  • To comply with WA State Health Department guidelines, please wear closed-toe shoes to class.

Instructor Kate McDill learned to bake at the Surrogate Hostess on Capitol Hill in Seattle. The training included both traditional French pastry and breads, and American comfort goodies. Baking is her craft, and she is happy to share her knowledge and the tasty treats warm out of the oven.
