You will design and decorate glass panels to make a four-paneled glass lantern on a wooden base. The raw wood base will be provided. Should you choose to oil, stain or paint, the base, that would be done apart from the class. You will practice cutting techniques in creating the design, but the panels will be pre-cut to fit the lantern sides. During the session, you will create the panels with the design of your choice. Lanterns will be available to pick up by Tuesday, December 3.

A materials fee of $35 will be included in the price of class.

Tuition assistance is available. Click here to apply.

Instructor Bios: Tobi Strevell has been creating fused glass since 2014. She has studied with various artists at BARN, Bullseye Glass, and at local private art studios. Her pieces include functional, architectural, jewelry and sculptural art.

Debra Arend was introduced to the techniques of fused glass through BARN in 2018, and fell in love with the diversity of the medium. Continually learning from teachers near and far, gives her the opportunity to create a variety of art pieces from wall art, repurposing lantern glass with art glass, recycled glass sculpture and dynamic serving-ware for everyday and entertainment use.
