We are very excited to bring Alicia Bailey back to BARN for another of her wonderful workshops.

Alicia is a rare combination of talented artist and excellent teacher, and this workshop is sure to be another fabulous experience.

This is a weekend class you won't want to miss!

A materials fee of $20 will be added when you register.

Please feel free to bring a bag lunch. BARN has a refrigerator to store your lunch in.

Using a variety of layering, transfer and mark making techniques, and working from a personal memory or other favorite narrative, participants will create a hard cover accordion book.  Participants will then create a single tray partition box with a built in shadow box that will allow for permanent storage of a personal object alongside the newly made book.

  • Participants will be asked ahead of time to bring a small object to the workshop that triggers a memory or holds some sort of personal significance.
  • No previous bookmaking experience is required. Painting and drawing experience is helpful but not required.
  • Please feel free to bring a bag lunch. BARN has a refrigerator to store your lunch in. There are limited options for purchasing lunch nearby.

Alicia Bailey is a well-known book artist, and owner of the Abecedarian Gallery in Coloroado.  She currently travels the country giving workshops and trunk shows of the work of book artists from her gallery.  She began publishing under the Ravenpress imprint in 1996. Ravenpress publications are held in private, public and special collections worldwide.

Please note:  If this class should fail to meet the minimum enrollment 10 days before the first scheduled meeting, it will be canceled.
