The Art of Interviewing with Annie Osburn (2 sessions)
Tuesdays, January 20th and 27th, 2:00 - 4:00pm
Have you ever wondered how news journalists make interviewing look so easy? Yet, when you’ve interviewed someone for a magazine article or news story, the Q&A format seemed more complicated than you’d imagined? Or, have you always wondered how to do an interview, but never had the chance? Come to The Art of Interviewing and we’ll demystify the process together. Learn the finer points of how to conduct an interview, whether in person or over the phone. We’ll practice interviewing techniques together, and work on a writing assignment for our second class. We’ll also look at how to salvage an interview that takes a nosedive. Life jackets not included, but bring your notebooks!
